About Barun Sobti
Barun Sobti was born in Delhi and is from a Punjabi family. He was educated and raised in Delhi and speaks three languages: Hindi, Punjabi, and English. He married his childhood love on in 2010, while taking a break from shooting the film Baat Hamari Pakki Hai. While not at work, Barun enjoys spending time with his family and friends, watching the Discovery Channel, comedy, sports, and reality TV shows. He has expressed an interest in being a cast member of reality shows such as Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao and Fear Factor, and his favorite comedies are Don’t Mess With The Zohan and Andaz Apna Apna. He is currently inactive in the major social media website, and he has publicly requested that his fans do not create fake profiles because he will make an official presentation online in the near future.

Before he was famous
Before being active in the television and movie industry, Barun worked at Jindal Telecom for 7 years as an operations manager.
Television career
Barun started his career in TV as the male lead Swayam Khurana in the family and faith oriented daily soap Shraddha. The show was quickly canceelled, however, Barun was shortly offered the role of the male lead in Keshav Pandit. Barun gained major popularity through his performance in Baat Hamari Pakki Hai. While promoting the show, he appeared with his co-star Ankita Sharma in the dance-based reality show Boogie Woogie! Barun’s new show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon premiered on Star Plus ,where he stars with actress Sanaya Irani.
Sobti’s Bollywood debut, Main Aur Mr. Right was released in September of 2013.
